They are colourful, active, playful, social birds known for their noisy screeching and chattering calls. Usually seen in fast-flying pairs or flocks of up to 50 birds. They are strong, swift flyers travelling up to 30 km between feeding and roosting sites. Very active in the early morning and late afternoon, roosting in large groups in treetops at dusk.
